BLAINE JAMES ANDERSON
character basics
NICKNAMES: Blaine, pretty much. Kurt calls him Blaine Warbler, but that doesn't really apply anymore... also it kind of confused Brittany.
AGE: 16
BIRTHDAY: October 2nd, 1994
SCHOOL: McKinley
OCCUPATION: Student, professional furniture jumper.
GENDER: Male.
PLAY-BY: Darren Criss.appearance
Blaine considers himself to be at least somewhat attractive. Of course, his boyfriend loves to tell him just how attractive he is, but Kurt's just saying that because he has to, isn't he? Blaine thinks that's probably why. He doesn't think he's ugly or anything. Just nothing special. He has brown/hazel-ish eyes, curly hair that he needs to gel down (for no particular reason, he just likes being all neat and well-groomed) and okay, so he's short. But Kurt doesn't mind.personality
Blaine likes attention. Yep, he definitely loves the spotlight — why, though, he's not sure. It could be because he's just a very social person and people tend to gravitate toward him, or it could be because between his dad's reluctancy to accept his sexuality and his old classmates bullying him, Blaine just really needs to be accepted. Other than singing and being with Kurt, Blaine enjoys jumping on furniture, 80s movies and watching football with Finn and Burt. He loves making friends, hates conflict and will do whatever it takes to avoid fighting with people. There's really few things that will rile him up, including bullying and homophobia. He'd rather make someone happy than do something for himself, i.e. give up a part in a show that he would love to do just so his boyfriend can play it. In other words, Blaine Anderson is the best boyfriend ever.

family & history

Mother: Emily Anderson, 42
Siblings: None.
Others: None.
Blaine grew up in Columbus, OH, with both his parents and, before she passed away, his mom's mother. Aside from distant cousins, aunts and uncles, Blaine doesn't have any family besides his parents and he can't honestly say he minds. His parents have never been particularly caring or warm. His dad isn't homophobic, not really, but he just doesn't understand or make an effort to and his mom? Well, his mom just kind of goes along with his dad.
His freshman year of high school, after being beaten up by his classmates after a school dance, just for going with a guy and simply existing — and that, that really was just the breaking point, because his bullying had been bad already but that was just too much — he transferred to Dalton, where he was immediately welcomed by Wes, David and consequently, the Warblers.
It was his sophomore year of high school that really changed everything. Blaine made a friend, the best friend he'd ever had. He attempted dating a boy, which ended catastrophically, then fell in love with his best friend, who had liked him all along. After finally getting together and spending all summer with each other, Blaine transferred to McKinley so he could spend every minute of every day with Kurt. So what if Kurt would be gone the next year? He doesn't mind. He'll have a year of wonderful memories to live on before he moves to New York himself and joins Kurt and Rachel.
That or he could, you know, look into the accelerated graduation program that Tina had been talking about.the roleplayer

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:(From a different RP.)
Blaine grabbed his keys and his phone as he left the office, heading out to meet Kurt for lunch. They always tried to clear a day or two a week so they could eat lunch together—otherwise, they wouldn’t see each other until the weekend, unless Kurt visited him at midnight like he’d begun to do lately. He closed the door behind him and went outside to hail a cab but quickly changed his mind. He could just walk.
Hands in his pockets, he started walking towards the restaurant, the discussion he and Kurt had had a few days ago still on his mind. He didn’t understand why Kurt was so… against marriage. Or them living together, for that matter. It made him worry, because even though Kurt had told him that he did want to get married eventually, what if he suddenly changed if his mind?
He shook his head, trying to rid himself of those thoughts. No. They were getting married. Kurt Hummel was worth waiting another five years for.
